The Craft
Full-grain. Vegetable-tanned.
Stitched by hand.
I cut, bevel, burnish and stitch by hand. Belts and sheaths are saddle-stitched, two needles at a time.
- Saddle stitch
- Two needles cross in every hole. Break one stitch and the seam still holds.
- Machine seam
- One thread locked through itself. Cut it once and the seam unzips.

Specification
What everything
is made of.
Every value below comes off the piece itself, and anything I cannot verify is not listed.
- Leather
- 9–10 oz full-grain vegetable-tanned for the belt and the sheath. The wallet is a lighter 3–4 oz so it folds thin.
- Stitching
- Belts and sheaths are saddle-stitched by hand, two needles to a seam. The wallet is hand-stitched.
- Thread
- Ritza Tiger 0.6 mm on the wallet. Cream thread on the sheath.
- Hardware
- Belt buckles in antique silver, chrome plated or brushed gun metal. Copper rivets.
- Edges
- Bevelled, sanded and burnished by hand. The sheath seam runs over a leather welt.
- Sizing
- Belts are 30 mm wide, in eight waist sizes from 24–26 to 38–40. The sheath loop takes a belt up to 40 mm.
- Ageing
- Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with light and use, and takes the shape of what you carry.
- Care
- Keep it dry. Feed it a neutral leather conditioner about once a year. Nothing else is needed.
- Made in
- Delta, British Columbia. One person, evenings and weekends, start to finish.
- Warranty
- Lifetime. If a piece I made fails, I repair or replace it free. I do not give refunds.
